A Kinfolk Story

 

Earlier in the year I had the joy of shooting and writing a story for Kinfolk Magazine Vol. 4 which was recently released this month. If you are unfamiliar with Kinfolk I highly encourage you to take a gander at their website and prepare to drool. Editor Nathan Williams and the extremely talented designer Amanda Jane Jones, along with many other inspiring artists, have created a publication that seeps of creativity with an emphasis on community, small gatherings and simple meals that bring people together all over the country.

The theme of my piece is a meal in transit, the idea that not only is the preparation of a meal important but also how we share and enjoy the meal with each other. A simple picnic in an open field can turn into an unforgettable day, laced with sweet conversation and the overwhelming beauty of nature's fine spread.
